How to do it
- Set two kettlebells on the floor in front of you and hinge down to take both handles.
- Hike them back between your legs, arms straight and back flat.
- Snap the hips forward hard to send both bells up in front of you.
- Pull them in close and punch both hands through as they rise, so each bell rotates around the wrist.
- Finish with both arms locked overhead and the bells settled on the forearms.
- Guide them back down into the next hike.
Common mistakes
- Letting the bells flip over onto the wrists. Punching both hands through is what makes them rotate around the hands, and doing it with two at once is why this is the advanced version.
- Lifting with the arms. The hips send both bells; the arms guide and punch.
- Letting the bells drift apart on the way up. They travel close to the body and close to each other; bells that swing wide arrive overhead out of line.
- Learning it before the single-arm snatch is clean. Two bells doubles the load and removes the free arm that balances the first.
